Open Air Cinema in Chisinau
Moldovan movie-goers can watch short films and clips from the Oberhausen International Festival during 4 evenings in open air in Chisinau. The event is organized by the Constantin Brancusi expo center and the Moldova Fine Artists Union, Info-Prim Neo reports.
On August 2 and 9, a selection of video clips produced in Germany from 1998 to 2007 will be projected. On 16 August, they will show German short films, and on August 23 – other movies from the Festival's archive.
The program contains documentaries, cartoons and video clips, as all the works explore new approaches and contents, beyond the market's musts and the majority's tastes.
The Oberhausen festival is the first of this kind in the world. It promotes the relationship between art and the short film, and plays a significant role in educating the new generation of film directors.
In case of rain, the projections will be switched into the Constantin Brancusi Center.
