Only one privatized dwelling owners association works in Tiraspol

“The reform of the housing and public amenities sector goes on and it is too early to speak about its results,” the mayor of Tiraspol Viktor Kostyrko told a news conference held in the town on April 2, Info-Prim-Neo’s correspondent reports. An important step according to Kostyrko should be the creation of nonprofit dwelling owners associations. “They should be composed of apartment owners so that the housing sector is administered jointly,” the official said. Presently, only one privatized dwelling owners association works in Tiraspol. It was founded instead of the housing and public amenities division №1. The private apartments in Tiraspol make up 90%, Viktor Kostyrko said. The reform of the housing and public amenities sector in the region started in 2006.
