The Government approved a new decision on the authorization of fishing in natural fishponds. The decision provides that the holder of a certificate by which a commercial fishing quota is assigned could use up to five utensils for fishing, which will be sealed by the Environment Agency. The authorities hope to this way bring to an end the use of fishing nets, except for the officially registered ones, IPN reports.

The standard form of permissive documents for authorizing fishing in natural fishponds was reviewed. The necessary documents are: commercial fishing certificate; scientific and control fishing authorization, sports, amateur and recreational fishing permits.

The money collected as taxes when issuing permissive documents will be transferred to the National Ecological Fund and could be invested in the protection of the biological aquatic resources.
