The Chisinau City Hall extended the period for submitting bids to clean the pluvial drainage channels in the capital city. Only the municipal cleanup enterprise “Edilitate” applied to take part in the tender contest initially. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, Gabriela Ciumac, division head at the City Hall, said there are many well-equipped companies that can carry out such works in the municipality of Chisinau and members of the contest commission want to choose the best offer. The City Hall’s project financed with European money includes two stages. At the first stage, there will be cleaned the drainage channels in the most problematic areas, including the square of the Railway Terminal, and the streets Haltei and Tabacaria Veche. Later, there will be built a water storage facility near the Railway Terminal. Earlier, the Chisinau administration announced that the works to clean the channels will start in February, while the construction of the water storage facility – in June. The project’s budget is €731,000.
