The employees of SA Apa-Canal Chisinau (ACC) this week will continue to check the water meters where there is a wide discrepancy in the volumes of consumed water measured by the water meter of the apartment building and the individual apartment meters, Info-Prim Neo reports. In Monday’s meeting of Chisinau City Hall officials, Vladimir Mocreac, the head of the ACC’s Client Relations Division, said that 2 197 apartments were verified last week. Only 35% of the water meters meet the technical norms. “Of the 3 543 water meters that do not meet the technical norms, 283 have not been checked, 2 728 are not sealed, while 532 were installed with deviations. In parallel, there was discovered an undeclared volume of 13 199 cubic meters of water, which is 121,000 lei,” said Vladimir Mocreac. H also said that there are cases when the consumers do not declare up to 3,000 cubic meters of water over 3-4 years. In such cases, they draw up a debt rescuing timetable. Sometimes, the disputes are settled in court. The employees of SA Termocom and the Public Amenities Division also perform raids.
