Online applications for allowances intended for families with children double in number

The number of online applications to obtain allowances intended for families with children submitted to the National House of Social Insurance (CNAS) in the first two months of 2021 rose by 128% compared with the corresponding period last year. According to the CNAS, 4,361 persons filed such applications through the “e-Application Allowances” service that is available on the Company’s official website and on the portal www.servicii.gov.md/ecnas in January – February, as opposed to 1,916 in the same period last year, IPN reports.

The families with children can apply for one-off childbirth allowance, monthly child benefit for socially insured persons and monthly child benefit up to the child’s age of two for socially uninsured persons, monthly support benefit up to the age of three for twins or more children born at a single birth and paternity benefit.

The electronic application is accepted only if the applicant and the child can be found on the State Population Register and the ties of kindred between the applicant and the child is confirmed based on information from the Register.

The following electronic services are now available on www.cnas.md: “e-Application Allowances”, “e-Application Reexamination of Pension”, “CPAS Access”, “Online Scheduling of Appointments at CTAS”, “Status of Medical Certificate”, “Retirement Age Calculator”, “Pension Calculator” and “Extract CPAS”.
