The Moldovan citizens will be able to monitor the representation of the interests of the state in the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) and the implementation of decisions by following the platform www.agent.gov.md that was launched by the Ministry of Justice. The platform will be available starting with March 6, IPN reports.
Minister of Justice Vladimir Grosu said the platform will ensure transparency in the decision-making process and will become a means of communication between the Government’s agent and the competent public authorities, and the mass media. “I hope the platform will gradually include all the information concerning the decisions passed against Moldova and information about the implementation of these decisions, as regards the payment of damages and the measures taken by the state to comply with the Court’s decisions and to prevent similar violations in the future,” he stated.
The Government’s agent Lilian Apostol said the volume of information is great as the website contains the decisions adopted starting with 2001. It also contains general information about the work of the Government’s agent, press releases, and the case law of the ECHR. There will be published resolutions and decisions of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe concerning the implementation of the ECHR decisions in cases against Moldova. The portal includes three search engines: by article, by year and by key word. This simplifies the search process.
