One tonne of living fish without documents of origin

Almost one tonne of living fish without documents of origin was discovered in a vehicle that was stopped by patrolling inspectors at the entrance to Hagimus village of Causeni district, IPN reports.

According to the General Police Inspectorate, the fish was estimated at 25,000 lei. The 35-year-old minibus driver from Stefan-Voda district faces a fine of 3,000 lei and confiscation of the goods.

If the goods are confiscated, the court of law or a joint commission will decide whether the fish will be destroyed or will be transmitted to the Zoological Garden.
