The one-time child birth benefit for 2018 could be increased by 345 lei, from 5 300 lei to 5 645 lei. A draft decision to this effect was proposed by the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family for public consultations on particip.gov.md, IPN reports.
Under the document, 198.2 million lei was earmarked in the 2018 state budget for paying the one-time benefit for the birth of a child in the amount of 5 645 lei.
It is estimated that about 35,000 families will receive the one-time child birth benefit in 2018.
