Pensioners with the lowest incomes will receive a one-time payment of 2,300 lei at the beginning of November. This applies to around 31,000 pensioners who have completed a 40-year contribution period at the time of retirement and receive a pension of no more than 3,300 lei. The non-reimbursable assistance is provided by the World Food Programme and the International Organization for Migration, and members of the parliamentary commission on foreign policy and European integration have approved the advisory opinion for the initiation of the Memorandum of Understanding in this regard, reports IPN.
The projected budget is 71 million lei. The funds will reach elderly individuals who have a pension of less than 3,300 lei and have contributed for at least 40 years. Approximately 31,000 people will receive a one-time payment of 2,300 lei. This project aims to support elderly individuals with low pensions who have made significant contributions throughout their careers.
The list of beneficiaries will be provided by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection. The funds will be distributed through "Poșta Moldovei," and payments will begin at the end of this year.
After signing, the ratification of the Memorandum of Understanding will be proposed for adoption in Parliament's plenary session.
