Prime Minister Pavel Filip has announced the Democratic Party’s unanimous support for the creation of a one-stop shop intended for people who need documents from the public administration. The one-stop shop will be set up by transforming and absorbing the services of five institutions, namely the state-run Information Resources Center “Registru”, Land Relations and Cadaster Agency, Civil Status Service, State Registration Chamber and Licensing Chamber, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the party,
The Premier, who is the first deputy chairman of the PDM, after the party’s April 3 meeting said that at the one-stop shop the applicants will be able to get documents issued by the five institutions.
In a press briefing, Pavel Filip presented the conclusions of the March 31 meeting of the Moldova – EU Association Council, saying the European officials welcomed the progress made by Moldova in implementing the Associating Agreement. He noted that the Government is committed to continue to take measures to modernize the institutions and society. Moldova’s European course takes shape, while the key message that was transmitted was for Chisinau not to slow down the pace of reforms.
The Prime Minister also announced the party’s position to reject President Igor Dodon’s decision to sign a memorandum with the Eurasian Economic Union. “Mister Dodon is trying to continue his personal war against the Association Agreement with the EU. He feeds himself politically on these antagonisms,” stated Pavel Filip, adding that this agreement will have no legal effects as it is not signed in the name of the Republic of Moldova and wasn’t endorsed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The party’s spokesman Vitalie Gamurari referred to President Igor Dodon’s decree to hold a referendum on September 24 this year, saying this decision is strictly electoral in character and the people should not pay for such political initiatives. The party’s jurists and a group of experts are determining the legality of this referendum and the PDM will take a series of decisions on the issue in the immediate future.
