One person to manage two hospitals

The Clinical Hospital of Infectious Diseases “Toma Ciorba” and the Dermatological and Communicable Diseases Hospital will have one and the same director general, Minister of Health Andrei Usatyi has told Info-Prim Neo.
According to the official, there will be common administrative management, but the structure and entity of the hospitals will remain the same. The move is aimed at optimizing the strategic planning and the use of the allocated financial resources. The initiated reform will last for two years.
However, there are rumors at “Toma Ciorba” Hospital that the plot on which the hospital is located belongs to a former head of state, who wants to erect a hotel on that place.
Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, the hospital’s director Victor Diatishin said he heard from unofficial sources that the hospital is to be relocated, but he does not know the reasons. “They said in spring that the relocation project was already drafted, but we received no official papers,” he stated.
