One person injured and 5 cars damaged in a chain-reaction car crash
One person got injured and 5 cars got damaged in a chain-reaction car crash occurred on Tuesday, October 2, on a street in Chisinau.
Inspector of the Chisinau Road Safety Service, Ion Roscovanu, told Info-Prim Neo that the accident occurred as a result of ignoring the proper distance between the cars. The driver of a Daewoo-Nexia (taxi 1430) hit the back of a Toyota, which then hit a Volkswagen-Golf. The latter hit an Opel-Astra by inertia, which stopped into a Fiat. The passenger of the taxi, 56, got multiple facial wounds. All 5 cars were damaged.
On Muncesti Str., a sixth grader of school No. 3 was hit by an Opel-Astra, receiving a concussion of the soft tissue in the lumbar region.
A 7 year old was riding his bike on Badiu Str. when an Opel-Astra hit him. The child got injuries on his left leg.
During the last 24 hours, 4 car accidents were recorded in Chisinau, injuring 4 persons, including two under-aged, and 11 minor accidents. Road policemen fined 13 car drivers intoxicated with alcohol, 89 for incorrect maneuvering, 71 for speeding and 36 for driving on red light.
