Starting with next year, young librarians, museographers or artists, graduates of artistic educational institutions, who will choose to work in local public authorities, will benefit from one-off allowances from the state. A draft law to this effect was given a final reading by Parliament, IPN reports.
Thus, graduates of higher educational institutions who will be employed according to the assignment of the Ministry of Culture will receive a one-time allowance of 120,000 lei. For graduates of technical vocational institutions, the allowance will be 90,000 lei. The money will be provided in three equal installments during the first three years of work.
The bill was drafted by the Ministry of Culture in order to motivate young people to work in cultural institutions in the country and to ensure the cultural content providers are distributed geographically uniformly.
According to statistics, out of the 913 graduates of the Academy of Music, Theater and Fine Arts in the arts specialty the last three years, only 90 got employed in the field. Also, none of the 265 graduates of the five technical vocational education institutions with arts specialties took up a job in the sector.
