One of passengers on Chisinau – Moscow flight diagnosed with COVID-19

One of the passengers of the Chisinau – Moscow flight was diagnosed with the novel coronavirus. The passenger, alongside another four persons in whom the virus was detected, visited Italy during the past 14 days, the Moscow Healthcare Department has said.

The passenger took off from Chisinau on February 24. It is not specified if the person has or does not have Moldovan citizenship. The Moscow Healthcare Department said the sick persons were isolated in special places.

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Social of Moldova said the National Focal Point hasn’t been officially informed by the Russian authorities about this case. Through the agency of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration and diplomatic missions, a request for information was made to the Russian side, IPN reports.

No case of the novel coronavirus has been reported in Moldova so far.
