The third woman transported to the Burns Hospital in Bucharest for treatment after suffering burns in a gas cylinder blast in a cafe near the Central Market of Chisinau died. The information was confirmed for IPN by the press officer of the Civic Protection and Emergencies Service Diana Turcan.
Thus, the number of victims who died rose to four – all the three women who were taken to Bucharest after the explosion and a man who died at the Chisinau Emergency Medicine Institute.
A gas cylinder that was used inappropriately exploded in the café on January 9. About 20 persons were hurt, with 13 of them being hospitalized in a serious and critical state.
