The prosecutors questioned another PACE member in the case concerning the aggression against the deputy head of Sângerei Tudor Tutunaru, who was splashed with brilliant green in the evening of April 6. Another two members of the PACE, who were summoned for questioning, didn’t present themselves. One of them invoked health reasons and being in the hospital, IPN reports.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the head of the Sângerei local organization of the PACE, who was arrested earlier, was charged and the prosecutors asked for a warrant for his arrest for a period 30 days.
The Sângerei Prosecutor’s Office started two criminal cases over hooliganism and inciting to commit acts of violence that carry a fine and a maximum jail term of five years.
Tudor Tutunaru, who was splashed with brilliant green because he got vaccinated against COVID-19 outside line, was hospitalized. He suffered burns on both of his eyes and his state of health is stable, according to doctors.
The leader of the Party “Building Europe at Home” (PACE) Gheorghe Cavcaliuc said the criminal case against his party mates was started by order. According to him, the splashing of brilliant green on a person is just a contravention, not a crime.
