Less than ten days after Iulian Condur was appointed as municipal councillor on the list of the Christian Democratic People’s Party, (PPCD), Condur left this faction, Info-Prim Neo reports. On Thursday, January 25, Condur stated at the extraordinary session of the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC) that he abandoned the faction in protest against the privatisation of the municipal stations “Antena C” and “Euro TV Chisinau”. Condur also announced that he joined the Social Action Bloc faction (SAB), which includes seven members at present. Condur has earned his office as councillor after former councillor Eugenia Bulat had declined her councillorship and membership in the party in response to what she called “antidemocratic tricks” used when CMC decided to auction off “Antena C” and “Euro TV” media institutions. Earlier, Iulian Condur held the office of vice president of PPCD’s “Young Generation”, and then was excluded from PPCD. PPCD party remained with four out of eight councillors that entered the list of the party in the CMC. The party was abandoned by Mihai Roscovan, Ion Mamaliga, Eugenia Bulat and Iulian Condur, who also declined his PPCD membership.
