One more member leaves Liberal parliamentary group

Oleg Ogor decided to leave the Liberal parliamentary group and the Liberal Party. He made such an announcement through his Facebook page in the evening of September 21, IPN reports.

Oleg Ogor said he will serve as an unaffiliated MP. He will plead for the fulfillment of the promises made by the Liberal Party in the election campaign and will support the country’s European development course.

According to the MP, the principles of liberalism and the attachment to the idea of the union with Romania are no longer promoted with the same intensity by the party’s administration. “The Liberal leaders mixed up party and national politics with the own interests. Reason was replaced with emotions, while the political arguments with babble in the public sphere. Such a behavior by the party’s administration destroys that grain of trust that is now enjoyed by the PL,” wrote Oleg Ogor.

Recently, the Liberal Party was abandoned by MP Iurie Darda. Now the PL will have nine MPs.
