Head of National Liberal Party (PNL), Vitalia Pavlicenco submitted her application for the office of Mayor General of Chisinau. NLP has also presented the list of candidates for councillorship. Pavlicenco is the eleventh candidate to run for this position in the elections scheduled for June 3. The Party of Communists will participate in the elections with the interim mayor Veaceslav Iordan. For the same office are running Ion Mereuta, the Humanist Party, candidate of “Moldova Noastra” Alliance Leonid Bujor, Vladimir Filat, representing the “Democrat Party”, Dorin Chirtoaca, on behalf of the Liberal Party, and Zinaida Zorin, Conservative Party. On Tuesday 17, the necessary documents were also submitted by Alexandru Corduneanu, on behalf of People’s Christian Democrat Party, Valentin Krylov, Electoral Bloc “Patria-Rodina-Ravnopravie”, Eduard Musuc, on behalf of the Social Democrat Party of Moldova and Cornel Ciurea, representing the Liberal Social Party. The Chisinau District Election Council announced that it will officially start registering candidates on Friday, April 20.
