A Valkaneş man, 42, died this morning after he drove his car on the wrong side of the road and hit another vehicle head-on. Four other people, including a child, were hospitalized following the impact that occured in Bucak village, Gagauzia.
According to the police, it’s not yet known why the man drove the wrong way. The collision was so powerful that an extrication squad had to intervene. The driver died instantly, and a woman and a child from the same car were taken to hospital. The driver and a passenger of the other car were also hospitalized.
The circumstances of the accident are investigated.
