A woman lost her life in a road accident last night, October 23, near the village of Cojușna in the district of Strășeni. Four other people were rushed to hospital with various injuries.

The press officer of the Police Inspectorate of Straseni, Silvia Vetcu, told IPN that the woman at the wheel of the car was regularly standing on the left side lane. The car was supposed to make a turn to Cojușna, but at one point it was hit in the back by another vehicle.

As a result of the impact, the 59-year-old woman died on the spot, and her 60-year-old husband, who was a passenger, was injured. He, as well as the 35-year-old driver from the other car and two other passengers, were taken to hospital for medical care.
