The purchase/sale agreements for vehicles put in the State Register of Vehicles could be concluded online, without having to go to the vehicle registration subdivisions of the Public Services Agency (PSA). In order to access the new service, the signatories of the vehicle purchase/sale agreements must have a qualified electronic signature, IPN reports.
This is provided in a Government decision on the digitization of vehicle registration services, which was approved today. The service will become available within 30 days of the publication of the decision in the Official Gazette.
According to the PSA, at this stage the seller can be a natural or legal person who owns a vehicle, or a representative empowered through MPower by the owner. The buyer can only be a natural person.
The service is available for transactions that do not involve changing the license plate and does not include the option to exchange license plates. This option will be yet developed.
