A driver of the municipal illumination enterprise “Lumteh”, driving in a drunken state, nearly knocked down an electric pillar which he hit with his car. The inspector of the traffic circulation security, administrative supervising and public relations service of the Chisinau Traffic Police, Ion Roscovanu, declared for Info-Prim Neo that the diver of the “Lumiteh” administration, was driving, at approximately 13.40, under the influence of alcohol, a Moskvici-412 vehicle. Loosing the control of the wheel, at a given time, he hit an electric pillar situated at the crossing of Titulescu str. and the Decebal bd. Consequently, the passenger of the car, aged 30, suffered a cranial-cerebral trauma, a cerebral concussion, bruised wounds of his forehead, nose and knee. Sources within the municipal enterprise “Lumteh” refused to comment on the case. During the day of Monday, September 25, traffic inspectors in the capital city registered 22 accidents which lead to 2 people being traumatized. The agents also drew up 17 records for drunk driving.
