The men’s handball team Olimpus-85 won the title of champion of Moldova one stage before the end of the competition. The team from Chisinau secured the first place after defeating at home the team of the Specialized Sports School No. 2 of Chisinau 41-35, IPN reports.
The hosts led by 22-17 after the first half of the game and kept a distance of five goals after the break. “During the current championship, we beat the opponents from PGU Tiraspol two times and drew one game with them. These results were decisive for us,” said Olimpus-85 captain Alexei Pervanciuc.
In the last match of the championship, Olimpus-85 will play against PGU at the hall “Alexia” in Chisinau.
