Olga Rujanski decided to resign from the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC). On her Facebook page, she wrote the decision is not official yet. The Central Election Commission will come together for a meeting to discuss the issue and will then take a decision. “The date when this decision takes effect will be considered de facto and de jure the end of my term. This will probably happen next week,” she posted, being quoted by IPN.
Olga Rujanski noted that things inside the CMC are serious. The public servants with good intentions and the necessary training represent 20-30%, while the rest are abject, corrupt persons who bear full responsibility for the chaos, schemes and manipulations witnessed during tens of years here.
Olga Rujanski also said that she does not see any reason for wasting time in a corrupt council only for voting against and trying to stop something that cannot be stopped because most of the votes are held by the PSRM and other political players who adopt decisions according to plan.
Olga Rujanski entered the CMC on the list of the sociopolitical movement “New Force” three months ago. Political researcher Victor Bunescu is the next substitute candidate on the list of “New Force” that has only one councilor on the CMC. The list was topped by current deputy mayor Victor Chironda, who was replaced by Sergiu Tofilat. The latter vacated his seat in favor of the post of presidential adviser, being replaced by Olga Rujanschi.
