Oleg Cernei leaves Moldova Noastra Alliance
Chisinau councilor Oleg Cernei Thursday announced his decision to leave the Moldova Noastra Alliance (AMN) as part of which he has worked for six years, Info-Prim Neo reports.
”They control everything in the AMN,” Cernei said, referring to the atmosphere inside the party. “Video cameras have been installed everywhere, including at the WC, to follow every move.”
At the same time, Oleg Cernei confessed that he had the freedom to do what he wanted while he has been a member of the AMN.
Cernei said that all the activities and decisions made by the Moldova Noastra Alliance recently are illegal as the party committed a number of violations when it held its ordinary Congress in summer. “The Congress was put off several times. The one that will take place in several days will have to attentively analyze all the mistakes committed in recent times,” Cernei said. “I was invited to take part in the Congress, but I will not go. As far as I know, at a recent meeting the Political Bureau decided there will be fielded only one candidate for the post of president of the party, but this is not right.”
In the same connection, Cernei said he advises the AMN leader Serafin Urecheanu to resign as Urecheanu urged once Vladimir Voronin to follow the example of the former president of Russia.
Asked if he has some political projects of his own, Oleg Cernei said he will continue to work as part of the major alliance in the Chisinau Municipal Council and cannot yet say if he will join another political organization.
“You will find my name in the list of politicians with clearer, more modern and democratic views.
”The latest polls show the AMN is doomed to failure. If no changes are made, including at the party’s Congress, this will happen indeed,” Cernei said.
He made it clear that other members could also leave the party. “There are dissatisfied members in Cahul, Nisporeni, Cimislia, Chisisnau and other parts,” he said. “Many of the party’s activists do not form part of the present governmental team and this will make some of them leave the AMN.”
