Oleg Bejenari becomes new coach of Zimbru
Oleg Bejenari is the new coach of the football team Zimbru Chisinau. He was presented officially in a news conference that involved the club’s director general Igor Oprea on June 12, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“It is an honor for me to work for Zimbru, which is a team with traditions and a rich history. I thank the administration for giving me this vote of confidence,” Oleg Bejenari said after signing a contract for a one-year period.
“It is an appropriate candidate. Oleg Bejenari has been part of the team for a period and knows the players well. No matter who the coach is, the objective of Zimbru remains the same – to win the championship and the cup,” said Igor Oprea.
In 2007-2011, Bejenari, 40, had formed part of the technical staff of Academia UTM Chisinau. Since last summer, he served as the assistant of Serghei Stroenko, who managed Zimbru. In the last championship, the team ranked third.
Bejenari will make his debut as the coach of Zimbru in the matches of the first Europa League qualifying round.
