Old man killed in fire caused by electric stove
A 79-year-old man from Rascani town died from carbon monoxide poisoning in a fire caused by an electric stove.
Oleg Ciubara, senior inspector of the Rascani Emergencies Division, has told Info-Prim Neo that the firefighters were called by the man's neighbors on February 15 at about 11am.
The fire occurred in a house on Serghei Lazo St. The old man lived alone. When the firefighters arrived, they found the electric stove working. A part of the things in the room were smoldering. The man was lying on the floor. His clothes were burned.
One person was killed in the 11 fires that happened in Moldova on February 15 and the night of February 16.
