Old-age pensions set after January 1, 2019, for a contributory period of more than two years, as well as pensions reexamined at previous stages if persons secured another contributory period of at least two years, will be reviewed as from 1 January 2024, the National House of Social Insurance said, being quoted by IPN.
The disability pensions established before January 1, 2022 will also be reviewed, on condition that the persons have completed a contributory period of two to seven years.
Applications for revision can be submitted as of January 1, 2024 in electronic form, by using the service “e-Request. Pension Review”. The service is available on cnas.gov.md and on the government portal servicii.gov.md.
The application for pension review will be examined within 60 days from the submission date and the reexamined pension will be granted starting with the month following the month in which the application was submitted.
The amendments made to the normative framework to simplify the process of granting allowances to families with children enter into force also on January 1, 2024. The childbirth and childcare allowances will be set by the National House of Social Insurance automatically to the mother, or to the father if the mother does not meet the conditions for benefitting from the allowance, based on data about the birth of the child available in the State Population Register, without the need to submit the application to the local social insurance house or electronically.
Starting with January 1, 2024, the monthly child benefit paid up to the child’s age of three is set to one of the insured parents without the obligation to be on childcare leave. The child benefit will be calculated based on the insured income of one of the insured parents, which is larger and enables to get a higher benefit.
