Archers Dan Olaru and Alexandra Mirca had a successful debut at the 29^th World Universiade in Taiwan, IPN reports.

Olaru bested Slovakia’s Vladimir Hurban 6-0, while Mirca managed the same score against the Philippines’ Shanaya Rose Dangla. In the last 32 round, Olaru will take on Estonia’s Maert Oona.

Weighlifter Ion Terna also traveled to Taiwan. He finished 15^th in the 62 kg weigh category. Overall, Moldova sent 13 athletes to the Universiade.
