The pair Maria Olarasu – Daniela Cociu has won a bronze medal in 200 m canoe double in the Plovdiv 2018 ICF Canoe Sprint Junior and U23 World Championships, IPN reports.

The Moldovan athletes finished the race with the result of 46.250 seconds, being beaten by French pair Laura Ruiz - Flore Caupain (46.115) and the German pair Lina-Marie Bielicke - Annette Wehrmann (46.150).

In the 500 m race, Maria Olarasu and Daniela Cociu failed to win a medal, ranking fourth. In 1 000 m simple, Arcadii Gonchearov finished seventh.
