Officials fired, appointed
The Government Wednesday approved the draft presidential decrees to recall the Ambassador to the United States and, simultaneously, to Canada, Brazil and Mexico Niciolae Chirtoaca, the Ambassador to Ukraine Nicolae Gumenyi and the Ambassador to the UK and, simultaneously, to Ireland Natalia Solcan, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Iurie Leanca said the move forms part of the plans to professionalize Moldova’s diplomatic corps.
By other decisions approved by the executive, Lazar Chirica was named as Deputy Minister of the Environment, Ion Lupu – as director general of Moldova’s Water Agency, Nicolae Onilov – as director general of the Medication Agency, while Mihaela Iacob – as Deputy Minister of Information and Communication Technologies.
The Government also approved the draft presidential decree to appoint General Alexei Roibu as director general of the Border Guards Service.
Also, Tudor Copaci was dismissed from the post of director of Moldova-Vin Agency, while Mihail Platon – from the post of state consultant heading the Committee on Awarding of State Prizes.
