The vehicles with license numbers issued by the Transnistrian administration will be able to cross the Moldovan-Ukrainian border. The Reintegration Office of Moldova announced that this is a temporary solution that started to be applied on October 26, IPN reports.
The owners of vehicles with Transnistrian license numbers ,who have the domicile in the region, will be able to cross the border between Moldova and Ukraine through checkpoints if they prove that they live in Transnistria and have all the required documents.
The given measure was taken to support the people living on the left side of the Nistru, who meet with difficulties in including the units of transport in the official register of the Republic of Moldova, and after considering the position on the issue expressed by the Ukrainian side and other foreign partners.
This temporary measure will be applied until a complex solution is identified to the problem of registration and movement of units of transport with Transnistrian license numbers.
On August 24, the Moldovan authorities banned the vehicles with Transnistrian license numbers from crossing of the Moldovan-Ukrainian border. The given subject was raised for several times in the meetings of the political representatives of Chisinau and Tiraspol.
