Two fugitives that allegedly caused a traffic accident on a stolen car, and several burglars tried to leave Moldova in order to avoid proceedings, but they were caught by the border guards, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Border Guards Service, the employees of the Service caught two men aged 21 and 24 who attempted to cross Prut River in the north of Moldova during the night. Investigations found that the young men, both residents of Balti municipality with criminal records, committed a road accident driving a car they had stolen. In order to escape from authorities they tried to run abroad. A similar case happened at the Moldova-Ukraine border in the south of Moldova. For the attempt of illegally crossing the border three teenagers aged 12-17 from Cantemir raion were arrested. The teenagers carried several packages of cigarettes and a knife. The investigations showed that the minors robbed a store in their village, taking several packages of cigarettes. To escape from justice the minors decided to leave for Ukraine.
