ODA director resigns: It’s time to pass post on to another manager

Dumitru Pîntea announced his decision to resign from the post of director of the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA), stating that he tendered his resignation at the beginning of November. “I think it’s time to pass the post on to another leader to further manage this solid capital of financial resources, a valuable team that has made a colossal effort to support entrepreneurs the past two years,” Dumitru Pintea said at a press briefing, being quoted by IPN.

“I consider I achieved the goals I set when I took over ODA. ODA is a stronger institution at the service of the real economy, with a modern decision-making mechanism or, in short, a bridge between the state and the entrepreneur,” stated
Dumitru Pîntea, noting that he managed the organization at a time when Moldova took firm steps towards European integration, but also when this faced countless crises and challenges.

Dumitru Pîntea leaves office on January 1, 2024. Gheorghe Iudin will hold the post on an interim basis, until a new director is appointed.

Dumitru Pîntea was named caretaker director of the Organization for the Development of the Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Sector in December 2021. In June 2022, the institution was renamed Organization for Entrepreneurship the Development and Dumitru Pîntea remained its director.
