The deadline for submitting the documents and subscription lists required for registering candidates for office of President of the Republic of Moldova is October 1, IPN reports.

The Central Election Commission said the documents can be submitted until October 1, 5pm. If two or more applicants file the documents for registration the same day, the Commission will convene at 6pm to hold a draw and decide the preliminary order of the potential candidates on the ballot.

So far the CEC has registered five electoral competitors and is examining another three files.
