Andrei Năstase will run again in the local mayoral elections in Chisinau, MP of the Bloc ACUM Octavian Țîcu was quoted by IPN as saying in the talk show “Fourth power” on N4 TV channel.
“Andrei Năstase will return to the electrical race for the mayoralty and I think this is his duty before the voters. From private discussions and from discussions between the two groups on the issue, it became clear that Andrei Năstase will run again,” stated the MP.
Octavian Țîcu noted the Bloc ACUM does not intend to issue another invitation to the Party of Socialists concerning eventual cooperation in Parliament, but is still waiting for an answer from the Socialists.
“We decided that wait up to the moment when a response reaction is made. Surely, we said we are ready to renounce the post of Parliament speaker if the de-oligarchization package is implemented and I think it would be right before the citizens of the Republic of Moldova to ensure free and fair elections after the state is freed from capacity and all the issues that would be eventually negotiated with the Socialists are agreed as the Bloc ACUM considers the February 24 elections weren’t free and fair,” he stated.
“We will stop here and see how things develop. The offers were made. The working group proposed by the Bloc ACUM is waiting for endorsement. We will see what follows.”
Octavian Țîcu reasserted that a coalition between ACUM and the Party of Socialists cannot be formed.
