Octavian Grama leaves PLDM

MP Octavian Grama decided to leave the Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova (PLDM). In a message posted on a social networking site, the ex-deputy head of the party says that he will continue to work in Parliament, but as an unaffiliated MP, IPN reports.

“In this period of crisis experienced by the Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova, we all tried to find solutions , but, regretfully, the train left. That’s why I decided to leave the party for which I had worked for about nine years,” wrote the MP.

Octavian Grama also said that he took this step also because good and competent colleagues with whom he worked during all these years and who fielded him for being included in the list of MPs of the PLDM left the local organizations.

Octavian Grama, who was named deputy head of the PLDM in 2007, became an MP last September. He filled the seat vacated by Valeriu Strelet after this was appointed Prime Minister. Before entering Parliament, he served as deputy minister of health in 2009-2011 and then in 2012-2015.
