Octavian Calmîc has stepped down as director of the National Energy Regulatory Agency ANRE. This was confirmed to IPN by ANRE spokesperson Galina Sanduța, who said Calmîc cited personal reasons for his resignation.
Calmîc occupied the post from March 1, 2019. From January 26 to December 1, 2018 he served as senior advisor to the Prime Minister, and from July 22 to December 22, 2017 he served as Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of Economy and Infrastructure. In 2006-2018, Calmîc represented Moldova in the process of accession to, and improvement of the CEFTA Agreement.
The ANRE has a number of directors on its board and a director general.
