A train running on the Ocnița-Bălți route was brought to an emergency stop near Balti municipality after a number of high-voltage cables fell down on several cars. Rescuers were called out to the scene, IPN reports.
According to the General Inspectorate for Emergencies, the rescuers released the four cars that got stuck in the cables. The operation lasted for about two hours and three more hours were needed to restore the route.
It happened on May 27. Currently, the road is passable. None of the 20 passengers who were on the train were hurt.
