Observers of opposition electoral participants signal frauds in localities

In Soroca town, at 50 meters from a polling station, Communists' representatives offer alcoholic drinks to voters inviting them to vote for the PCRM, the Our Moldova Alliance (AMN) informs. A release issued by this party reads that observers of AMN, PL, PLDM and PDM at a polling station in Codru town of Chisinau municipality saw how a member of electoral bureau, a PCRM representative, hid a pile of ballots under the table. At the observers' insistence, he was forced to take the pile of 50 ballot papers out. AMN's lawyer Alexandru Spac has written a minute on this case. Although the law was breached, that member of the electoral bureau was not expelled from the commission. AMN notified general prosecutor Valeriu Gurbulea on this case. Sergiu Sarbu, the PCRM's representative at the CEC, has told Info-Prim Neo that the accusations of the representatives of electoral participants' observers are absurd. “These are provocations addressed to the PCRM, no party member is involved in electoral irregularities,” Sergiu Sarbu said. He insists OSCE observers have reported no breaches so far.
