Oazu Nantoi, who is the program director of the Institute of Public Policy, in the talk show “In depth” on PRO TV channel announced that he decided to join the team of ex-Premier Iurie Leanca, IPN reports.
Oazu Nantoi said he will not stop being an analyst and, depending on the discussed subject, he could turn back into an analyst form politician. “You know, it is now fashionable to ask: whom did you join?” he joked, noting that he will also join the party that Iurie Leanca will launch next week.
A number of public figures have so far joined Leanca’s team. Among these are the former Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Eugen Carpov, former head of the Bureau for Diaspora Relations Victor Lutenco, ex-deputy ministers of foreign affairs Iulian Groza and Valeriu Chiveri, current head of the Policy, Strategic Planning and Foreign Assistance Division of the State Chancellery Ruslan Codreanu, and former secretary general of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mihai Capatana.
Iurie Leanca announced that the party he intends to launch at the beginning of next week will be called the European People’s Party. Also next week they will start to collect signatures for registering this party.
