According to him, the modification of the electoral system is aimed at perpetuating the rule of particular political forces, regardless of the people’s vote, IPN reports.

Oazu Nantoi noted a very serious thing happened when the electoral system was modified. The new mixed electoral system is aimed at ensuring the presence of the same political players in power, regardless of the citizens‘ vote. “The vote in the municipality of Chisinau disrupted these mechanisms that were to be implemented without any fuss in the 45 constituencies of Moldova,” he stated, referring to the early mayoral elections in Chisinau that weren’t validated by the court.

Spokesman for the Liberal Democratic Party Ion Terguta said a political cycle was completed in Moldova. The country started by obtaining sovereignty in 1990 and has now in 2018 to demand the same thing – sovereignty. “We became a country where democracy has no value. The citizen’s vote was thrown away.
