Moldovan canoeists Oleg Nuta and Ilie Sprincean ranked third in the 200 m kayak and canoe race at the Canoe Sprint World Cup in Hungary, IPN reports.
The pair achieved the result of 37.904 seconds, being outrun by Hungary’s Jonatan Hajdu and Adam Fekete (36.393) and China’s Qiang Li and Hao Wang (37.404).
Oleg Nuta and Ilie Sprincean are world and European youth champions.
At the Canoe Sprint World Cup in Hungary, Moldova’s Oleg Tarnovschi won silver in the 500 m race. Earlier, the naturalized Ukrainian athlete finished second in the 1 000 m race.
