As from Monday, August 25, the number of buses and trolleybuses in Chisinau municipality will be gradually increased, in order to be able to carry the enhanced number of passengers on September 1 when the school year begins and the holidays end, Info-Prim Neo reports. 108 buses and 286 trolleys will run from September 1, compared with 94 and, respectively, 234 now, said the Public Transport Direction head, Veaceslav Tarna, at Monday's sitting of the City Hall. At the same time, they finish establishing the schedule and the duration of the vehicles staying in stations. The schedules and maps of the public routes will be posted at stations. Such maps are placed, but they show only the trolley routes. General Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca has asked measures concerning the illegal parking lots, especially in the most crowded areas. “If it is needed, hire people to prevent such situations,” Chirtoaca said. He has asked that parking lots now created on Pushkin street should be extended on Columna and Alexandru cel Bun streets. According to Veaceslav Tarna the works in those areas will last for one more week.
