The number of tourists who stopped at tourist accommodation facilities in 2018 increased by 8.1%. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, in the course of this year the collective tourist accommodation facilities were used by 364,600 tourists, 160,200 of whom were foreigners (43.9%), IPN reports.
Most of the foreign tourists housed by tourist accommodation facilities came from Romania (28.0%), Ukraine (11.7%), Russia (8.1%), the U.S. (6.0%), Germany (4.4%) and Italy (4.0%). By 0.9% of the tourists came from China and Spain and by 0.9% from Sweden and Switzerland.
The number of nights spent by tourists at such facilities in 2018 rose by 10.1% to 1.667,8 million.
A tourist spent on average five-six days at collective tourist accommodation facilities.
