Number of swine flu cases rose to 15 in Moldova
Doctors have confirmed the 15th case of infection with the A(H1N1) influenza in Moldova, the press service of the Ministry of Health reported.
The latest victim is a 48-year-old woman, who contacted the disease from another woman previously diagnosed with the novel influenza after she had returned from Bulgaria. The patient fell sick on September 27 and sought medical assistance the next day, complaining of fever, headache, cough, pharyngitis and astheny.
Now the patient receives treatment at the Toma Ciorba Hospital, which specializes in communicable diseases. An epidemiological investigation into the case is underway.
