The State Main Tax Inspectorate informs the taxpayers that the Call Center's telephone number (0) 1525 will be replaced with the number [(0) 80001525] from October 26. The calls to this number are free of charger both from fixed-line and mobile phones, Info-Prim Neo has learned from the Inspectorate's website. The Call Center started work on January 12. Initially, it provided consultancy on how to calculate and pay the income tax. Now it offers expert advice on the calculation and payment of the property tax, tax paid by patent holders and other payments. The answers are offered free of charge in Romanian and Russian, from 8 to 17.00. The Call Center was set up under the Moldova Governance Threshold Country Program funded by the Millennium Challenge Corporation. It is designed to reduce the human factor in the relations between the tax services and taxpayers and to prevent and combat corruption.
