The number of patrol and inspection police teams on the national roads will be twice higher during the next two days. The National Patrolling Inspectorate said the measure is taken following the large number of road traffic violations identified during the day, of over 4,000, IPN reports.
In a press release, the Inspectorate said more than 2,500 persons were caught speeding on the national roads between July 30 and August 2. A number of 42 persons were caught driving under the influence of alcohol.
Thirty road accidents that resulted in one death and 39 persons injured occurred in the period owing to the violation of the road traffic regulations.
